WHO ARE WE?

We are a group of Christians in Mansfield Ohio who gather together to pray, fellowship, preach the gospel, and study the Bible. 

  • In 1959, we were planted in Mansfield, Ohio.

  • We are gathered to the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • We are not part of a denomination, but we are in fellowship with likeminded church all across the world.

  • All of our beliefs, doctrines, principles, and practices are based upon the Word of God

  • We trace our origins back to the first local church planted in Jerusalem at Pentecost. 

  • “Gospel Hall” is the name of our building, and it shows our emphasis on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

  • We have a group of elders who govern and lead the church according to the Word of God.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

All of our beliefs, doctrines, principles, and practices are based upon the Word of God.

  • We believe that the Bible is the living, unchanging Word of God. It is inerrant, relevant, and every word was inspired by God.  

  • We believe that God is one unique being, who exists in 3 co-equal and co-eternal persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He became a man in order to die on the cross as a substitute for sinners. He rose from the dead three days later, and today He is in Heaven at the Father's right hand.

  • We believe that all mankind is sinful in nature and that our sin separates us from God.

  • We believe that any person's sin can be removed, and they can be forgiven, through the death of Jesus Christ. 

  • We believe that salvation is by grace through faith. Eternal life is found exclusively in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Receiving Christ as savior and Lord is necessary for one to be saved

  • We believe that once a person is saved, they inherit eternal life and are indwelt by the Holy Spirit.

  • We believe that Heaven is the eternal home of the saved, and that Hell and the Lake of Fire is the place of the unsaved.
